Common questions about smart lighting

Do I need a neutral wire for smart switches?

Most smart switches require a neutral wire. The TNCE Smart Light Switch comes with a free capacitor included so it works even if your home doesn't have one.

What’s the difference between a smart switch and a module?

A smart switch replaces your existing wall switch entirely. A module fits behind your current switch and adds smart control without changing how it looks.

Which option is easiest to install?

Smart bulbs and sockets. Screw in, connect to Wi-Fi, done. No wiring required.

Will these work without internet?

ZigBee switches still work locally without internet. Wi-Fi switches need a connection for app and voice control but manual use still works.

What apps do these products use?

Most products use the MOES, Tuya or Smart Life app. All are free and available on Android and iOS.

Can I use voice control?

Yes. Compatible with Alexa and Google Home for hands-free control.
